I'm participating in my first online Bible Study with the Proverbs 31 community. Each week they give you a list of topics to blog on and this week I chose "Favorite Scripture".
My favorite scripture is Joshua 1:9. It's been my favorite for a number of years now. First, I love the story of Joshua. Joshua is called to lead the Israelites after Moses' death- including crossing the Jordan and destroying the walls at Jericho.
Second, I love the sentiment of being commanded to be strong and courageous. Not to wither or back away from the things you fear, but to face them head on.
And third, I love that God reiterates that he will be with us wherever we go. It's that affirmation of his promise and his love that gives us the ability to be strong and courageous!
